Last Saturday after a night out with friend for a 40th (not mine yet) we went back to the birthday girls house and started to play Singter a singing comp a game within the playstation console. I was hooked. It was fantastic fun. Then I began the thristy search for a gaming platform that would suit my families needs. Boy it is not easy to work out. I am a bit of a geek but still not that easy. Here are some links I found useful.
In any case what struck me with this research is that this is another whole visual communication world. Not unlike 2nd life, or Penguin Club for kids, people can connect to compete, communicate and share ideas online while playing in this virtual gaming world. Real escapism. I wonder how long before savvy marketers try and get their hooks into this world, especially with the gen Y.
